IBM System Mfg ACPX Module Circuit Sample

IBM System Mfg ACPX Module Circuit Sample

Now here is an item you won' find every day of the week. I am not really sure what it is but I would like to believe it was a Presentation Gift to an employee -- you can decide. Encased in a wooden stand-up frame is a sampling of many circuit plates (I think). It is marked in the center: IBM Systems Manufacturing - ACPX Module. On the back of the frame is a small plaque that reads: T.K.Worthington. The display shows both sides of the little circuit boards. It is rather interesting if you know about this kind of stuff. The frame measures 10 3/4" x 2" on the base, 4 1/2" high and 1 1/8" wide.

Sold Sept 2005 for a little over $300.00

From: Galleryofoldiron (21:52, Sep 26, 2005) ACPX was the original name for ASLT - Advanced Solid Logic Technology. It was designed for the very high end System 360/91 (and 92) computers. It dates to about 1964, according to, "The History of IBM's 360 and Early 370 Systems," by Emerson Pugh, et al.

Thanks for the good input, I am still looking for more examples .. (Bob)
